1.What is pump under voltage and over voltage ?
All electrical equipment has a rated voltage, but it is not guaranteed to work under rated voltage in practice.It is close to the rated voltage range,and the general requirement is ±15%.To protect electrical equipment and process quality, if the voltage is below -15%, it is "under voltage".When the working voltage drops under the voltage,it will take protect action and cut off the power.On the contrary, if the voltage exceeds 15%, the voltage is "over voltage". They are non-fatal failures for electrical equipments.
2. What are the consequences of under voltage and over voltage ?
The insulation of the motor is mainly realized by insulating materials, and the insulation size is limited by geometric space.When the motor is exceed the insulation strength and voltage value of the electrical appliance,It is easy to cause insulation breakdown.The electrical appliances can be hot, punctured, burned and caught fire, even cause an accident.When the voltage is too low,the output torque of the motor is reduced by a square multiple.It is possible to cause motor stalling and overheats,even burns.So the operating voltage range of the motor is very narrow,the over voltage and under voltage protection must be installed.
3.How is Leading’s controller protect the pump when it is in the Under voltage protection and over voltage protection state?
In Leading’s controller, When the real running voltage is lower or higher than the calibrated voltage,pump is in under/over voltage protection state.In this case,the controller will attempt to restart the pump every 5 minutes(Settable time) until line voltage is restored to normal.
