What is power factor (PF)?

Power factor is an important technical data in the power system. Power factor is a measure of the efficiency of electrical equipment. The low power factor indicates that the reactive power of the circuit used for alternating magnetic field conversion is very large, which reduces the utilization rate of the equipment and increases the power loss of the line.

What is ampere (A)?

Ampere (current) is the flow of a set of electric charges. The magnitude of the current is called the current intensity, that is, the amount of charge passing through a part of the wire per unit time.

There are two protection methods for the intelligent controller of the leading water pump:

No.1-The actual motor output power (watts) calculated by power factor.

No.2-The real motor runs ampere.

For some borehole pumps, especially for certain single-phase borehole pumps with advanced manufacturing technology, if the pump controller only measures the running ampere between the pump's full load and dry running, it is difficult to judge whether the pump is in dry running or Full load operation, because the ampere difference between full load and dry operation is very small, possibly 0.1A. In this case, the pump controller cannot protect the pump from dry operation.
